I've had people on other forums tell me it's not a Pigeon Grade because there's no gold inlaid pigeon on the receiver. It's seen very few rounds, noted to be under 10 boxes. My uncle notes that he purchased it around the mid-1950's (someone had noted the serial #1789356 to be from 1958, which is within memory tolerance), and that it's a stock Model 12 Pigeon Grade (except the buttpad has been replaced). I've had some problems identifying and setting a value on this particular Model 12 and am hoping to get good feedback here. We're starting with his shotguns, including a Ljutic and several Perrazis, Brownings, Remingtons and Winchester Model 12s. I'm helping my uncle, who's 89, sell off his inventory of guns that he's had for over 65 years. New member here and not an expert at all on shotguns. Posted this in the Shotgun ID & Value forum before realizing this may be a better forum for my questions.
